Where are you wraps made?

Our wraps are made in the United States, from loom to finishing.  We are 100% committed to Made in America.

Where is your mill?  Where is your finishing done?

Our products are woven through an exclusive arrangement with The Oriole Mill with American combed cotton and Egyptian mercerized cotton and finished at Sew Co. in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The Oriole Mill is one of the few remaining jacquard mills still functioning in the United States. We have worked hard to develop a strong relationship with our mill and value this relationship with them and the trust that implies.  We are proud to be the first American wrap manufacturer to have developed weaving expressly for babywearing with a mill open to experimentation and innovation.  Our wraps are sewn to our specifications at Sew Co. in North Carolina.

Are your textiles organic?

Not all of our textiles are certified organic, we do carefully consider our sources regarding heirloom quality, manufacturing process, carbon footprint, and natural sustainable fibers. We use all natural materials.  

Are your wraps handwoven?

No, our wraps are made on reclaimed jacquard looms, under the direct supervision of weaving professionals.  No textile is ever left unattended during production, and our mill pays a fair living wage to its employees.  

How do I purchase a wrap?

Our wraps are available exclusively in our online shop, and releases are announced on our Facebook page at the time of the listing.

Do you sell to retailers?

Our wraps are currently available exclusively on the Pavo Textiles website.

May I test a sample?

This may be our most frequently asked question, and we appreciate your willingness to help! Please tell us a little about yourself, link us to your blog or page, and send us a sample review for consideration, if you have one. We welcome feedback at any stage, from anyone.

What is PREP?  How do I join? 

PREP is the Pavo Representative and Educator Program, designed to provide awareness and education about the Pavo brand.  Participants are selected for their enthusiasm, general helpfulness to newcomers, babywearing knowledge, and loyalty. We strive for diversity and to represent a wide variety of babywearers.

Which wrap is good for my baby?

We make every attempt to accurately describe our products in order to make your selection easier.  A wrap described as heavy weight will not be especially comfortable for a newborn, and a wrap described as light or thin may not work well for a toddler.

Until what age can I wrap my child?

You may wrap your child as long as mutually desirable. You may notice around age one the child would rather be independent, but will still submit to being wrapped for naps, or walks outdoors, or to be calmed down. Some children go through a "wrapping strike" but return to wrapping after a few months. Some parents carry a wrap on long hikes with a toddler who can often make the trek one way, but would prefer to be worn for the way home.  If your child has a disability he or she may want or need to be worn for a longer time.  

When should I start wrapping my baby?

We suggest wrapping your baby after four months, and not back wrapping your baby until age one.  If you do choose to wrap your baby before four months of age you must pay special attention to your baby's airway and chin and neck position.  Please see our Safety page for more information.  

How do I care for my wrap?

Our wraps arrive to you in loom state, without a finishing wash, because of this we recommend a one cold wash without spin, and gentle cycle for subsequent washing. Please do not use color catchers. Tumble dry on low/delicate.  Ironing is strongly encouraged to prevent premature wear at the rails and other highly creased areas. Please inspect your wrap every time you wear your baby for signs of damage.

What is your return policy?

Pavo Textiles will accept returns and exchanges of unwashed items in the original packaging within 15 days of receipt. Please see our Terms & Conditions page for full details.

How do you ship? How quickly?

We ship priority mail via USPS for both domestic and international orders. We ship within one week of purchase, barring weekends and holidays.  Please see our Terms & Conditions page for more details.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship internationally via USPS using Priority International.  Please see our Terms & Conditions page for more details.

What payment methods do you accept?

You may use MasterCard, VISA, and American Express. International cards are accepted, please select MasterCard for Maestro, Cirrus, Solo, and Switch.

What if I would like to use PayPal?

We do not accept PayPal at checkout.  You may access your PayPal balance with your PayPal debit or credit card, both options work well on our site.

Is your site secure for payment?

All transactions are secure and encrypted, and we never store your credit card information. Payments are processed through Stripe. Payment information is also governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

Are you compliant with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008?

Yes, we comply with CPSIA. The requirements include product tracking information for recall, and appropriate labeling.  Please register your wrap on our Product Registration page.
